Bruh these past few Months has been one hell of a roller coaster for me, I went from having a really traumatizing experience, to feeling invalidated and unloved amongst other issues. Multiple times I wished I could reach out to someone without being judged but i really couldn’t find anyone that fits into that category and i was really reluctant to open up given the fact that someone i really cared about and valued their opinion made a statement that crushed my spirit and almost made me spiral into a depressive state, but after that phase i came a totally different person, I decided to focus on the things that really mattered to me and that was creating innovative solutions to tackle social needs. Right now I have a notepad full of amazing ideas to tackle some major social challenges around my environment, some of which include

Healthwise

The idea for healthwise came to me in a very funny way, so my mum was scheduled to a health test on Monday and my sister had work and I also had classes to attend so i was quite reluctant to go to the hospital on a monday morning. But you know the amazing thing, at 9am on a monday morning the hospital was packed I was wondering what was going on, and while waiting for my mum during the test I noticed most of these people were here for basic things like consultations and check ups with doctors and I also noticed these people were within the ages 40–60 and these were people who had jobs and also elderlies(ages60–90) and they were at the hospital for some of the most basic things that could be achieved through telehealth or a checkup at home by either a doctor or a nurse, then it clicked for me that i could develop a solution for this problem amongst other ones that were affecting a lot of people. That’s how the idea for healthwise was born, the idea for health wise has always been in my face all these while but I guess I never had the clarity to understand the problem and also enough skills to develop a solution to tackle it. But my internship at zuri coupled with my experience using No Code tools gave me the leverage and insight on how to build this solution. So for those of you wondering what healthwise is,

Healthwise is a Telehealth marketplace that allows people to get access to trained and certified Doctors, Nurses and care givers who are poised to excellently deliver a wide range of medical services like digital consultations, to Home checkups, and you can book a nurse to manage and monitor a person and you also have access to verified care givers to help you take care of an elderly or a special person that needs round the clock care. These are just some of the amazing things you achieve while using healthwise, it also has an ePharmacy feature that allows users to purchase drugs from reliable sources.

We are also developing care plans for people with issues like cancer, diabetes, bone fractures amongst other issues that are not properly managed by the current health system. My next article is going to be talking about these plans and how we plan to revolutionize healthcare by making it more accessible and efficient.

These are just some of the amazing things you can achieve through telehealth, and healthwise plans on utilizing technology to make healthcare more accessible and efficient. So far I have built the MVP up to 70% and some features have been tested and the database has been developed, so within a few week i would be running usability testing. So if you would like to be part of this amazing experience either as an health practitioner or a user. You can check us out here and take our research survey. If you also want to be part of our beta testers either as a doctor or nurse or you would love to use the service you can reach out to me @adesinasamuel18@gmail.com
